Writing Into the Light of Winter: A Workshop for Women

Join Amy Cooper and Cynthia Cummins, your guides for an afternoon of reflection, creation and community through writing. This is an opportunity to quietly ground and gather our intentions for the holiday season, and to illuminate a creative channel as we move towards winter.

What to expect:

We begin by tuning in with guided gentle movement to embody our practice and invoke the muse. Then we follow playful and provocative prompts designed to summon words that need to be written.

In timed exercises, our pens never leave the page as we bypass our inner critics and open to the inspiration of beginner’s mind. New ideas appear. Memories are unchained. Words land effortlessly on the page. After writing, we read aloud, yet there is no critiquing.

Our afternoon ends with restorative movement and time for reflection and sharing.

What to bring:

All that is needed is to bring a pen & paper and a willingness to show up and play.

Wild Heart Writing:

This Wild Heart Writing technique allows for individual transformation within a supportive group setting. It’s suited for both novice and experienced writers – serving as a form of meditation, a gentle way to manifest the writer within, or a jumpstart for any writing project.
