As Mary Oliver wrote, we have one “wild and precious life” in which to know ourselves and to write. Now’s your chance.
Laurie Senauke and I are again leading a 5-day retreat for female-identified writers (of all levels of writing experience) as part of Tassajara Zen Mountain Center’s guest season.
Please join us and fill your page with the “breathings of your heart” (Wordsworth) in an environment that’s ideal for contemplation and creativity. We will invoke our muse through mindfulness and meditation, then we’ll write and play, using a variety of easy-to-follow prompts. In between sessions there will be ample time for relaxation, Zen practice, walking, soaking in the hot springs, eating delicious and healthy food, and more.
Tassajara is one of the most peaceful places on earth, and is an ideal environment for bringing new words and perspectives to life. It’s a comforting, inspiring and supportive setting.

I lead writing workshops in the Bay Area, and spend much of my so-called free time writing. To support my avocation (and my family) I sell residential real estate in San Francisco; for more about that visit RealEstateTherapy.org or Kindred SF Homes.
