The Guardian has a weekly feature called “Books Interview,” and it’s almost always an enlightening read.

I recently came across an installation featuring Anne Tyler and was tickled to learn that she couldn’t finish Wuthering Heights and found it to be silly. (It is, isn’t it?)

I’m not a huge Tyler fan (though I admit I’ve only read Breathing Lessons and The Accidental Tourist), but I love this quote from her about writing:

“I write because I want more than one life.”
