I wrote these haiku at a Wild Writing session I led last fall. The writing prompts were apples and fading sunflowers.
by my bedside
a juicy red ripe apple
no teethmarks yet
sticky stems in my hand
the blooms leaching life
too late not to pick them
Chinese produce stand
granny smith apples piled up
knock one off
